About Dr. Carteron

Dr. Carteron is a board-certified rheumatologist and internist with international expertise in Sjogren’s disease. She trained in molecular virology and cellular immunology, received her MD from Johns Hopkins, with post-graduate clinical and research training at Johns Hopkins, Duke, Stanford and University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Carteron is also a Clinical Professor of Medicine in the Division of Rheumatology at UCSF, precepting rheumatology fellows.

Following almost 30 years of private practice in San Francisco focused on complex autoimmune disease and transplant immunology, she joined Drs. Nancy McNamara and Ava Wu as a Consultative Rheumatologist in the Sjogren’s Clinic.
