Dr. Nicole Mercho graduated from SUNY College of Optometry in New York City with honors and completed her residency in ocular disease and primary care with the VA New York Harbor Healthcare System. Her training included extensive experience with glaucoma, uveitis, and ocular manifestations of systemic disease. Dr. Mercho has a passion for academia and is thrilled to join the UC Berkeley School of Optometry community. She is particularly excited to be able to combine her interests of teaching with providing excellent eye care within community health centers, especially to those with historically limited access to quality healthcare. Outside of eyeballs, Dr. Mercho loves to try new foods and enjoy the outdoors.
