About Dr. Tasaki
Dr. Tasaki earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of California, Berkeley School of Optometry, where she also completed a residency in Pediatrics and Primary Care.
She is currently a full-time Health Sciences Associate Clinical Professor at Berkeley, serving as chief of the Pediatric Clinic and chief mentor for the Pediatrics and Primary Care Optometry Residency Program. Alongside her faculty appointment, Dr. Tasaki has practiced part-time as a pediatric optometrist at Kaiser Permanente in San Rafael and provided comprehensive eye care to preschool children in underserved communities through the See Well to Learn Program with Prevent Blindness Northern California.
Dr. Tasaki is dedicated to advancing children’s vision care, with a strong focus on improving access to services and promoting the importance of early detection and intervention. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and previously served as President of the Alameda Contra Costa Counties Optometric Society.
